100% Garnacha Tinta
Hand harvested
Dry farmed, 30-35 yrs. old vines
From bush vines high on the slopes below the Sistema Iberico mountain range. The strong Cierzo winds that blow down the Ebro River Valley maintain the vines fresh and healthy and in part give the grapes thicker skins and give the grapes concentration of flavor and color.
Viticulture: The grapes are from a selection of vineyards of 100% Garnacha grapes grown at 600m. (2000ft.) above sea level in free draining, calcareous, clay and chalky, rocky soil with lots of stones (canto rodado).
Winemaking: The fermentation took place in concrete and the wine matured on its fine lees for 12 months in concrete vats. A limited production of about 10.000 bottles.
Tasting note: Beautiful medium ruby colour. Perfumed nose showing red berries aromas with notes of thyme, lavender and Mediterranean spices. It is dry in the palate, with very soft tannins and a delicate balance. Fresh and juicy with a very long finish.
Recommended temperature of service: 13-14 ºC.

James Suckling: 93 points (2019 vintage)
“Very fresh and lively aromas of violets, blueberries and raspberries. Super
fresh and fruit-focused. The palate has a very clearly defined feel with raspberries
and brambleberries, framed in neatly defined, long tannins. Good
acidity from this elevated site. Drink over the next six years.”
